Matcha & Spirulina Tropical Smoothie Bowl

A tropical twist on the traditional green smoothie that's packed full of natural protein and antioxidants. Deliciously green thanks to matcha and spirulina super-goodness!

Serves: 1 bowl
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 banana
  • 6 frozen lychees
  • ½ frozen mango, chopped into cubes
  • 1 dried fig
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 1¼ teaspoons matcha powder
  • 2 tablets spirulina or ¼ teaspoon spirulina powder (organic is best)
  • Toppings
  • Crushed pistachios
  • Edible rose petals
  • Flaked almonds
  • Hemp seeds
  • Dried figs
  • Your favourite power/protein bar, chopped into cubes
  1. Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and let thaw for 5 minutes
  2. Blitz until smooth and creamy (add an extra splash of almond milk if the blender is struggling)
  3. Serve in a tall glass or a bowl and add toppings as above or replace with your personal favourites!
Frozen fruit works best in this smoothie, but if you only have your fruit fresh and chilled, it will still turn out delicious!
