Josephine Tan // Three Silver Spoons Contributor
Originally from Malaysia, Melbourne based lawyer, Josephine, is a health food lover and recipe developer.
During her hectic years of law school, she noticed her immune system wasn’t keeping up with the demands of her lifestyle Her busy schedule, stress and diet resulted in her neglecting her health, and consequently, falling ill quite regularly.
So she made a strong new year’s resolution of improving her health and wellbeing, and started incorporating yoga and healthy food into her everyday activities. Once these turned into regular habits, she felt everything fell into place seamlessly and her overall health improved by leaps and bounds.
Today, she’s enjoying living life to the fullest and her days of using “I don’t have time” as an excuse are a distant memory.
In the kitchen, Josephine’s focus is on creating healthy, simple dishes that are easily integrated into busy lifestyles. She adores travelling and connecting with new souls, as well as spending the weekends in the kitchen developing new recipes.
Occasionally I indulge in “not-so-healthy” food & drinks that I enjoy (I love fried chicken), and I don’t feel guilty about it. I don’t think wellbeing is about completely restricting yourself. It’s all about “balance” after all.

Favourite place to visit
One of my favourite places to visit in my home country, Malaysia, is Penang Island. I have vivid childhood memories of visiting my grandparents, swimming in the ocean, eating durians, having supper at 11PM, and driving around the whole island in only about an hour.
